Maureen Chapman
Maureen Chapman is a lifelong educator and education writer who has taught for 15 years in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms and spent eight years in school leadership. She co-founded Cor Creative Partners with James Simons, where they focus on leadership development for adults and students, curriculum and pedagogy, student engagement, and integrating social-emotional learning with academics. Chapman writes about education for outlets including Edutopia and Inside Higher Ed.
She is the co-author of Leaders of the Class: Units for Teaching Motivation, Perseverance, Communication, and Collaboration in the Secondary Classroom, published by Solution Tree Press, which provides a research-based sequence of units to help grades 6–12 teachers develop students’ leadership identity and skills in motivation, perseverance, communication, and collaboration. Through articles, workshops, keynotes, and podcasts, Chapman shares practical frameworks, routines, and assessment tools that help educators embed leadership skill-building into everyday classroom instruction.
