Max Brallier

Max Brallier is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of more than fifty books for children and adults. He is best known for the middle-grade series The Last Kids on Earth, which won the Texas Bluebonnet Award and was adapted into an Emmy Award–winning animated series on Netflix, where Brallier served as a writer and executive producer. Under the pen name Jack Chabert, he created and authored the Eerie Elementary series, and he also writes the Mister Shivers scary-story collections, including Beneath the Bed and Other Scary Stories: An Acorn Book (Mister Shivers #1).

Brallier’s body of work also includes the middle-grade series Galactic Hot Dogs, the pick-your-own-path adult novel Can YOU Survive the Zombie Apocalypse?, and writing for licensed properties such as Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, and Uncle Grandpa. He has worked in book publishing and as a game designer for the virtual world Poptropica, and he currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter.
