Megan Scribner

Megan Scribner is an editor, writer, and researcher with nearly three decades of experience documenting and evaluating projects for nonprofit organizations. She is the co‑editor of three poetry anthologies focused on the inner life of teachers and leaders: Teaching with Heart: Poetry that Speaks to the Courage to Teach, Teaching with Fire: Poetry that Sustains the Courage to Teach, and Leading from Within: Poetry That Sustains the Courage to Lead. In addition, she edited Navigating the Terrain of Childhood: A Guide for Meaningful Parenting and Heartfelt Discipline and co‑authored, with Parker J. Palmer, The Courage to Teach Guide for Reflection and Renewal, Tenth Anniversary Edition.

Scribner has also worked on discussion and study guides, including a guide for the World Resources Institute to accompany the Bill Moyers Reports: Earth on Edge video and several Joseph Campbell–related projects such as Transformations of Myth Through Time: An Anthology of Readings, the Joseph Campbell Transformations of Myth Through Time Study Guide, and a related Faculty and Administrator’s Manual. She serves as an advisor with the Fetzer Institute and has evaluated renewal and leadership programs with Smith College professor Sam Intrator.
