Meghan P. Browne

Meghan P. Browne is a children’s author and beekeeper based in South Austin, Texas, where she lives with her family and runs Honey Browne Farm, raising bees alongside other animals. Born and raised in Austin, she holds a BA from the University of Arizona and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her debut picture book, Indelible Ann: The Larger-than-Life Story of Governor Ann Richards, received a starred review from Kirkus and was selected as the 2022 Texas Great Read.

Browne is also the author of Dorothy the Brave, a picture book biography of WWII aviator Dorothy Lucas, and The Bees of Notre-Dame, a nonfiction picture book about the honeybee colonies on the roof of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris and their survival of the 2019 fire. In addition to her picture books, she has a debut middle-grade novel, The Edge of Forever, scheduled for release with Feiwel & Friends in spring 2026.
