Michael Cohen

Michael Cohen, known as The Tech Rabbi, is a designer, educator, and creativity instigator whose work focuses on helping educators cultivate creative confidence and design thinking in the classroom. He serves as Director of Innovation at Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) Boys High School, where he manages and teaches at the Schlesinger STEAM and Entrepreneurship Center. A former professional designer who later moved into educational technology, he brings a design mindset to his roles in education and innovation.

Cohen is the author of Educated by Design: Designing the Space to Experiment, Explore, and Extract Your Creative Potential, in which he outlines principles for revealing and nurturing innate creative courage and capacity. He is an Apple Distinguished Educator, an international keynote speaker, and an advisor or presenter for major technology companies including Apple, Adobe, and Microsoft. In addition to his book, he is active as a podcaster, YouTuber, and course author, sharing strategies for creativity, design thinking, and innovative practice in education with audiences around the world.
