Michael J. Corso, Ph.D., is an educator and author specializing in student voice and aspirations in schooling. He has served as Chief Academic Officer for the Quaglia Institute for Student Aspirations (QISA) for about 15 years, providing professional development and training on aspirations and student voice frameworks to thousands of educators and students in hundreds of schools. A former high school teacher, adjunct professor of education, and administrator, he has taught at every grade level from kindergarten through graduate school.
Corso is co‑author of Aspire High: Imagining Tomorrow’s School Today (Corwin, 2016), developed from research, observations, focus groups, and interviews on building schools that amplify student voice. He has also co‑authored Student Voice: The Instrument of Change (Corwin, 2014) and numerous articles on school voice and aspirations. While remaining connected to QISA as a special consultant, he has returned full‑time to the high school classroom.
