Michael McLeod
Michael McLeod is an ADHD and executive function specialist, a certified speech-language pathologist, and the founder of GrowNOW ADHD, a nationwide organization that provides executive function coaching, parent training, and professional development for schools. He holds a master’s degree in speech and language sciences from Lehman College in New York and has worked with children and adolescents since 2005, including international work with youth nonprofits in Australia. McLeod is the creator of the GrowNOW Internal Skills Executive Function Strengthening Model, an evidence-based framework designed to build self-regulation, self-awareness, self-motivation, and self-evaluation to promote independence in young people with ADHD and executive function challenges.
McLeod is the author of The Executive Function Playbook and The Executive Function Playbook in Action: Activities and Exercises to Support Kids with ADHD, practical, hands-on guides that help parents, educators, and practitioners strengthen executive functioning skills in children and teens. Through his writing, coaching, and keynote speaking, he has presented his internal skills model to audiences across the United States and internationally, collaborating with doctors, neuropsychologists, and nonprofits to translate current neuroscience into actionable strategies for families and schools.
