Michelle Cummings
Michelle Cummings is an educator, consultant, author, and speaker with extensive experience across PK–12 education and education technology. She has taught secondary English and social studies in the United States and Switzerland and has served in multiple administrative roles, including elementary principal, high school principal, and assistant superintendent, before moving into education technology leadership. She later became Chief Academic Officer at Teachers Pay Teachers and at Brisk Teaching, contributing her school- and district-level expertise to educational technology products and services.
Cummings earned a B.A. from Brown University and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is the author of the 5th edition of The First-Year Teacher’s Survival Guide: Ready-to-Use Strategies, Tools & Activities for Meeting the Challenges of Each School Day, in which she updates and expands practical strategies, tools, and advice to support beginning teachers in their work.
