Michelle Shin
Michelle Shin, Ed.D., is an educational consultant and teacher educator with over 15 years of experience in K–12 education, particularly in mathematics instruction and school leadership. She has served as a mathematics classroom teacher, teacher leader, and site administrator in San Diego, California, where she has focused on improving instruction, systems, leadership, and school culture.
Shin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of California, San Diego. She later completed a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership (PreK–12) at San Diego State University, where her dissertation was titled “Trust: An Essential Focus for Effective Leadership.” She is a coauthor of Onboarding Teachers: A Playbook for Getting New Staff Up to Speed and The Mathematics Playbook: Implementing What Works Best in the Classroom, both published by Corwin.
