Miriam Kurtzig Freedman

Miriam Kurtzig Freedman is an attorney specializing in education law, representing public schools and school districts on issues including special education, Section 504, testing, standards, and students with disabilities. She has been associated with the Boston law firm Stoneman, Chandler & Miller LLP since 1988 and is currently of counsel; prior to practicing law, she served for eight years as a Massachusetts special education hearing officer and spent about a decade as a public school teacher in California, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts. Freedman holds a BA from Barnard College, an MA in history from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and a JD from New York University School of Law.
