Molly Ness

Molly Ness is a reading researcher, former classroom teacher, and teacher educator who earned a doctorate in reading education from the University of Virginia and spent 16 years as an associate professor at Fordham University. She also taught as a Teach For America corps member in California, has worked in reading clinics and school consulting, and has served on the Board of Directors of the International Literacy Association and as a New York State chapter founder of The Reading League.

She is the author of five books and numerous articles on reading instruction, including Making Words Stick: A Four-Step Instructional Routine to Power Up Orthographic Mapping, Read Alouds for All Learners: A Comprehensive Plan for Every Subject, Every Day, Grades PreK–8, Every Minute Matters: 40+ Activities for Literacy-Rich Classroom Transitions, and Think Big with Think Alouds: A Three-Step Planning Process That Develops Strategic Readers.
