Monica Neagoy

Monica Neagoy is a mathematics educator, author, and international consultant whose work focuses on making mathematics engaging and accessible for teachers, students, and parents. Educated in the French school system in Asia and the United States, she holds a BS in mathematics and philosophy from Georgetown University, an MA in pure mathematics from Catholic University, and a PhD in mathematics education from the University of Maryland. Her career has included teaching mathematics at Georgetown University and serving as a program director at the National Science Foundation, where she oversaw national projects in mathematics education.

Over more than 25 years, Neagoy has provided teacher professional development, math specialist training, and keynote speeches in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, working in English, French, and Spanish. She has created and hosted numerous mathematics video series and live shows, including the MathMagic show and more than 50 instructional videos for organizations such as Discovery Education and the Annenberg Channel.
