Nancy Akhavan

Dr. Nancy Akhavan is an education consultant, author, and former K–12 educator with more than 35 years of experience in schools and districts. She is the founder of Nancy Akhavan Consulting, Inc., and has worked as a bilingual teacher, principal of three schools, district administrator for English language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and world languages, and assistant superintendent in a large urban school district. She has also served in higher education as an assistant professor and credential coordinator in the Department of Educational Leadership at California State University, Fresno, and later as an associate professor and associate professor emerita.

Akhavan holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, an M.A. in Administration and Supervision, and a B.S. in Child Development, all from California State University, Fresno.
