Nancy E. Shaw

Nancy E. Shaw is the author of the long-running Sheep picture-book series, beginning with _Sheep in a Jeep_ (1986). Biographical sources say she was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earned an A.B. from the University of Michigan in 1968 and an M.A.T. from Harvard University in 1970, and later wrote radio scripts for “Senior Sounds” at the University of Michigan Institute of Gerontology.

According to publisher and biographical listings, the idea for the sheep books came from a long car trip with her family, and she has lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her published sheep books include _Sheep in a Jeep_ and additional titles in the series, with _Sheep Go to Sleep_ noted as a later entry.
