Nancy Tillman

Nancy Tillman is an American author and illustrator of children’s books whose work centers on reassuring children that they are loved and that their lives have meaning. A former advertising executive, she created her first book, On the Night You Were Born, in 2005 and has since written and illustrated numerous bestselling picture books, several of which have appeared on The New York Times bestseller list, including On the Night You Were Born, Wherever You Are, My Love Will Find You, The Crown on Your Head, I’d Know You Anywhere, My Love, and You’re Here for a Reason. Her books often pair affirming, poetic text with digitally created, layered mixed-media illustrations featuring realistic children and animals.

Tillman is also the author or illustrator of titles such as The Wonder of You: A Book for Celebrating Baby’s First Year, The Spirit of Christmas, The Heaven of Animals, Tumford the Terrible, Tumford’s Rude Noises, and It’s Time to Sleep, My Love (written by Eric Metaxas and illustrated by Tillman).
