Natalia Benjamin

Natalia Benjamin is the Director of Multilingual Learning for Rochester Public Schools and previously taught high school Ethnic Studies and Multilingual Learners in Rochester, Minnesota. She was named 2021 Minnesota Teacher of the Year and holds National Board Teacher Certification.

Benjamin co-authored Language of Identity, Language of Access: Liberatory Learning for Multilingual Classrooms with Michelle Benegas. Published descriptions of the book say it centers on linguistically sustaining and expanding instruction, home languages, and “linguistic capital” for multilingual students.
