Nicki Newton

Dr. Nicki Newton is an education consultant and veteran educator with over 30 years of experience working nationally and internationally with K–8 students. She specializes in elementary and middle school mathematics curriculum, including guided math, math workshop, math centers, and curriculum mapping, and has taught at the elementary, middle school, and graduate levels. She holds a Master’s of Education (Ed.M.) and a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) from the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she focused on teacher education and curriculum development, and has conducted education research in Denmark, Guatemala, and India.

Newton is the author of numerous math education titles and has written more than 45 math books.
