Nicole Dimich

Nicole Dimich is an educator, author, and assessment expert who works with K–12 teachers, administrators, and school districts to improve assessment and grading practices. She is president and educator at Lighthouse Learning Community and is known for facilitating professional learning focused on student voice, hope, and confidence through effective assessment.

Dimich is the author of Design in Five: Essential Phases to Create Engaging Assessment Practice (second edition, Solution Tree, 2024) and coauthor of Concise Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About Assessment and Grading. She also coauthored The Handbook for Design in Five: Assessment Tools and Protocols for Teachers and Teams, a practical companion text that provides step-by-step protocols and templates to support classroom assessment work.
