Nicoleta Filimon
Nicoleta Filimon is an educator, author, and consultant focused on multilingual learners and students with limited or interrupted formal education. She has taught ESL/ELD to multilingual learners and SLIFE for more than 12 years in Massachusetts and has also worked as a teacher, dean of curriculum and instruction, assistant principal, education consultant, and teacher educator.
Filimon earned a Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Master of Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Oradea in Romania. She is the coauthor of Learning Unlimited: Strategies for Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education and Other Struggling Multilingual Learners, and sources note that she is originally from Romania and has presented on educating multilingual learners and SLIFE since 2006.
