Nina A. Murphy, PsyD, is a practicing school psychologist in the Three Village Central School District, an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s College, and a Senior Consulting and Field Expert at the Social-Emotional and Character Development Lab at Rutgers University. Her work focuses on positive youth development, social-emotional learning, youth leadership, self-efficacy, perseverance of effort, and student voice.
Murphy is a coauthor of Morning Classroom Conversations: Build Your Students’ Social-Emotional, Character, and Communication Skills Every Day with Maurice J. Elias and Kellie A. McClain. According to publisher and related author bios, she has also trained teachers, administrators, and psychologists in social-emotional curricula and has worked as a school psychologist for grades K–12.
