Nita Creekmore
Nita (E’Manita) Creekmore is an educator, instructional coach, presenter, writer, and inclusive literacy advocate based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. She spent 18 years in public education, teaching elementary grades (including 1st, 2nd, and 5th) for 13 years before serving as an elementary instructional coach for 5 years. Creekmore holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of South Carolina, as well as an educational specialist degree in educational leadership from the University of Virginia, and has additional endorsements in Reading and Coaching.
Creekmore is the co-author of Every Connection Matters: How to Build, Maintain, and Restore Relationships Inside the Classroom and Out, written with Michael Creekmore, and co-creator of the accompanying Tips for Connection & Reflection (QuickWins! Strategy Cards). She is also the author of Read Outside Your Bubble: Expand Your Bookshelf, Expand Your World. Through Creekmore Conversations, which she co-owns with her husband, she collaborates with schools to cultivate strategies that build, maintain, and restore relationships in education.
