Oge Mora

Oge Mora is a collage artist, author, and illustrator whose debut picture book, Thank You, Omu!, received a Caldecott Honor, the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award, and the Ezra Jack Keats Book Award, as well as recognition as a New York Times Notable Book and Editors’ Choice and a Junior Library Guild selection. A first-generation Nigerian American, she grew up in Columbus, Ohio and later earned a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Mora’s second picture book, Saturday, won the 2020 Boston Globe–Horn Book Picture Book Award and has been widely acclaimed by major outlets including The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Boston Globe. She was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Arts & Style in 2021 and currently lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island.
