Olivia Amador

Olivia Amador Valerio, EdD, is a professional learning consultant with Corwin and a co-author of The Teacher Clarity Playbook, Grades K–12: A Hands-On Guide to Creating Learning Intentions and Success Criteria for Organized, Effective Instruction. She previously served as a bilingual elementary school teacher and an award-winning elementary school principal in San Diego, and has also worked as a reading and language arts specialist.

She holds teaching and administrative services credentials in California and earned a doctorate in educational leadership from San Diego State University. Her professional focus includes teacher clarity, high-impact instructional practices, English language development, teacher collaboration, and leadership development, with an emphasis on ensuring that all students have access to high-quality instructional experiences.
