Oscar Corrigan
Oscar Corrigan is an educator and administrator specializing in support for multilingual learners. He serves as an administrator and director of the English Language Learner program at Health Sciences High and Middle College (HSHMC) in San Diego, California, and has classroom experience teaching middle school social studies and high school history, as well as supervising teacher candidates and implementing restorative practices. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University, is a Leading Edge Certified teacher in online and blended learning, and is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at San Diego State University.
Corrigan is the lead author of Kids Come in All Languages: Visible Learning for Multilingual Learners, published by Corwin in 2023, co‑authored with Nancy Frey, Douglas Fisher, and John Hattie. The book, based in part on his doctoral work, provides a framework and practical guidance for designing high‑quality, equitable instruction and learning environments for students acquiring English.
