Paige Timmerman
Paige Timmerman is a high school English teacher at Salem Community High School in Salem, Illinois and a National Board Certified Teacher since 2019. She has taught high school English since 2012, including all levels of twelfth-grade English and an honors dual‑credit writing course, as well as freshman and junior English. Timmerman graduated summa cum laude from Western Illinois University in 2012 with bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and English education, and earned a master’s degree in American and English literature from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2017.
Timmerman is co‑author of Their Stories, Their Voices: Using Personal Narrative to Empower Student Writers, Grades 6–12, published by Solution Tree, which offers a step‑by‑step framework for using personal narrative to strengthen student writing across genres. She has been a member of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the Illinois Reading Council (IRC), is a contributing writer to the Moving Writers blog, and co‑presented with the Moving Writers team at the NCTE annual convention in 2019.
