Pam Munoz Ryan

Pam Muñoz Ryan is an award-winning author of more than 40 books for children and young readers, including picture books, early readers, middle grade novels, and young adult fiction. Her books include Esperanza Rising, Riding Freedom, Becoming Naomi León, Paint the Wind, The Dreamer, Echo, and Mañanaland, and her work has earned honors such as the Newbery Honor, the Kirkus Prize, the Pura Belpré Medal, the Jane Addams Children’s Book Award, and the Américas Award.

According to the author’s site and the American Library Association, Ryan began with the picture book One Hundred is a Family in 1994 and has published over 40 books for children.
