Pamela A. Nevills

Pamela Nevills is an educator and author known for her work on the neuroscience of reading and early literacy instruction. She is the author of Building the Young Reader’s Brain, Birth Through Age 8 (Third Edition), which synthesizes brain research and practical classroom strategies to support language and reading development from birth through the primary grades. She previously coauthored Building the Reading Brain, PreK–3 (Second Edition) with Patricia Wolfe, a widely used resource that explains early brain development and the acquisition of language and reading skills for children from birth to age eight.

In addition to these titles, Nevills has written on applying neuroscience to educational leadership, contributing to work such as The Instructional Leader and the Brain: Using Neuroscience to Inform Practice. Across her publications, she focuses on translating findings from educational neuroscience and brain research into practical guidance for teachers working with young and developing readers.
