Pamela Seda
Pamela Seda is a mathematics educator, consultant, and equity advocate with more than 30 years of experience as a math teacher, instructional coach, college instructor, and K–12 district mathematics leader. She is the founder and CEO of Seda Educational Consulting, president of the Benjamin Banneker Association, and creator of the ICUCARE® Equity Framework and the VANG Game® math card game. Seda has served in roles including high school mathematics teacher, high school mathematics instructional coach, K–12 mathematics coordinator, and director of secondary mathematics for multiple school districts, and is a frequent speaker at state and national mathematics education conferences.
Seda is the co-author of Choosing to See: A Framework for Equity in the Math Classroom, a book that proposes a structured approach to advancing equity in mathematics education, particularly for Black and Brown students. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida, a master’s and Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Georgia State University, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia.
