Pamela Weber Harris

Pamela Weber Harris is a mathematics educator, author, and consultant who has written extensively on building students’ mathematical reasoning and numeracy. She is a former secondary mathematics teacher and university lecturer, and she has also worked as a K–12 mathematics education consultant and workshop leader.

Her books include Building Powerful Numeracy for Middle and High School Students, Lessons and Activities for Building Powerful Numeracy, Developing Mathematical Reasoning: Avoiding the Trap of Algorithms, and the Corwin Mathematics Series titles Developing Mathematical Reasoning: The Strategies, Models, and Lessons to Teach the Big Ideas in Grades K–2 and Developing Mathematical Reasoning: The Strategies, Models, and Lessons to Teach the Big Ideas in Grades 3–5. She is also identified as the lead author of Discovering Advanced Algebra, Third Edition and has presented frequently at national and international conferences.
