Parker J. Palmer

Parker J. Palmer is an American author, educator, and activist whose work focuses on education, community, leadership, spirituality, and social change. He is founder and Senior Partner Emeritus of the Center for Courage & Renewal, holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

Palmer has written ten books and numerous essays and poems, including The Courage to Teach: Exploring the Inner Landscape of a Teacher’s Life and The Courage to Teach Guide for Reflection and Renewal. His other published works include Let Your Life Speak, A Hidden Wholeness, and Healing the Heart of Democracy.
