Parry Graham

Parry Graham, EdD, is an experienced public school administrator and educator whose work focuses on developing professional learning communities (PLCs). He has served in multiple school-based leadership roles at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and has worked as a principal, including leading Luftkin Road Middle School in the Wake County Public School System and Nashoba Regional High School in Massachusetts. In addition to his school leadership, Graham has taught in higher education as a clinical assistant professor and adjunct professor in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Graham is coauthor of Building a Professional Learning Community at Work™: A Guide to the First Year, a practical, step-by-step resource for implementing PLC concepts, written with William M. Ferriter and published by Solution Tree. He has also coauthored Making Teamwork Meaningful: Leading Progress-Driven Collaboration in a PLC at Work™ with Ferriter and Matt Wight, further extending his work on collaboration and PLC implementation. Beyond his books, Graham has written on professional learning communities in articles such as “The Role of Conversation, Contention, and Commitment in a Professional Learning Community,” which draws on his experience as a school administrator working within PLC schools.
