Pat Zietlow Miller

Pat Zietlow Miller is a Wisconsin-based, New York Times bestselling picture book author whose work focuses on heartfelt, empowering stories for young readers. She began her career as a newspaper reporter and later worked as a writer and editor for insurance companies before turning her focus to children’s books. Her debut picture book, Sophie’s Squash, was published in 2013 and launched a prolific career that now includes more than two dozen picture books.

Miller’s titles include Be Kind, Remarkably You, When You Are Brave, Sharing the Bread: An Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving Story, The Quickest Kid in Clarksville, My Brother the Duck, and What Can You Do with a Rock? among others. She is also the author of A Girl Can Build Anything and co-creator of the Lupe Lopez picture books, including Lupe Lopez: ¡Reglas de una estrella de rock! and Lupe Lopez: ¡Estrella de lectura!, which celebrate confidence, creativity, and a love of reading. She lives in Wisconsin with her family.
