Patricia Raybon

Patricia Raybon is an award-winning Colorado author, essayist, and novelist whose work often explores faith, race, family, and spiritual healing. A journalist by training, she earned degrees in journalism from Ohio State University and the University of Colorado at Boulder, worked as a newspaper journalist for 12 years, and later taught print journalism for 15 years at the University of Colorado at Boulder before turning to full-time writing.

Her books include My First White Friend: Confessions on Race, Love, and Forgiveness, which won the Christopher Award, I Told the Mountain to Move: Learning to Pray So Things Change, a Christianity Today Book of the Year finalist, Undivided: A Muslim Daughter, Her Christian Mother, Their Path to Peace coauthored with her daughter Alana Raybon, and the Annalee Spain historical mystery series beginning with All That Is Secret. She is also listed as the foreword author for A Sojourner’s Truth: Choosing Freedom and Courage in a Divided World.
