Paula Aquilla
Paula Aquilla is an occupational therapist and osteopathic manual practitioner based in Toronto, Ontario, and director of Aquilla Occupational Therapy Services, a family-focused practice serving children, young adults, and their families in clinical, home, school, and community settings. A graduate of the University of Toronto, she has practiced occupational therapy since 1986, with a specialty in sensory integration therapy and extensive work with autistic and neurodivergent children, including consulting to schools, treatment centres, First Nations communities, and group homes, and teaching throughout Canada, the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and India.
As an author, Aquilla is co-author of _Building Bridges through Sensory Integration: Occupational Therapy for Children with Autism and Other Developmental Disorders_ and a contributor to _Children, Youth and Adults with Asperger’s Syndrome_, as well as the author of _The Sensory Detective Coloring Book_. She is also listed as a co-author of _You’re Going to Love This Kid!: Teaching Autistic Students in the Inclusive Classroom_, a book on inclusive education for autistic students, together with Paula Kluth and Kelly Chandler-Olcott.
