Pauline Thompson
Pauline Thompson is a senior lecturer in educational leadership at the Faculty of Education, The University of Melbourne, where her work focuses on instructional and middle leadership in schools. She has professional experience as a teacher, assistant principal, and educational advisor, and her research interests include middle leadership, women in leadership, teacher professional learning, and instructional leadership.
Thompson is co-author of Teachers Who Lead: Practical Strategies for Building Responsive Teams, written with Ryan Dunn and John Hattie, a practical guide for instructional coaches and teacher leaders published by Corwin. She has also contributed to scholarship on teacher learning and leadership, including work on teacher professional learning to sustain improvement in teaching practice and teacher leadership for integrated STEM education.
