Perry Soldwedel
Perry Soldwedel is an educational leadership coach and consultant who works with school district leaders on systems thinking, shared leadership, strategic planning, continuous improvement, and professional learning communities. He is the founder and principal of Soldwedel Consulting LLC, through which he has guided districts and schools in strategic management and performance improvement since 2003. A former school district superintendent, he has also served as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, technology director, principal, assistant principal, and elementary and middle school teacher, and he teaches Quality Improvement in Education as an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois.
Soldwedel is the author of The Eight Dimensions of Strategic School Management: Leading the Right Way (Achieving School Transformation Through Strategic Leadership) and coauthor of Aligning School Districts as PLCs and The School Board Fieldbook: Leading with Vision, all focused on district leadership, governance, and strategic school improvement. His work emphasizes strategic thinking and planning, data collection and analysis, performance measurement, and aligning school districts as professional learning communities. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois, Bradley University, and Western Illinois University.
