Rachel E. Bear

Rachel E. Bear is a co-author of _Planning Powerful Instruction, Grades 6–12: 7 Must-Make Moves to Transform How We Teach—and How Students Learn_, published by Corwin Literacy, alongside Jeffrey D. Wilhelm and Adam Fachler. After eight years as a classroom teacher, Bear served for two years as co-director of the Idaho Core Coaches for the Idaho State Department of Education, supporting teachers in implementing the Next Generation Standards.

She is currently a Senior Program Associate with the National Writing Project (NWP), where her work focuses on the College, Career, and Community Writers Program (C3WP), an initiative aimed at improving academic writing in rural school districts.
