Rachel French

Rachel French, MA Ed, is an experienced international educator, consultant, and author specializing in Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction and inquiry-based learning. She co-authored the second edition of Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction for the Thinking Classroom with H. Lynn Erickson and Lois A. Lanning, and is also co-author of Concept-Based Inquiry in Action, which outlines practical strategies for promoting transferable understanding through concept-based inquiry.

French has worked in schools across South America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania and has served as a PYP Coordinator at Frankfurt International School. She is the Director and founder of Professional Learning International, through which she supports schools worldwide in planning and implementing concept-based curriculum and instruction, coaches teacher teams on curriculum development, and leads workshops and trainer certification in the Erickson and Lanning Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction model.
