Rachelle Dene Poth

Rachelle Dené Poth is an educator, edtech consultant, attorney, author, and keynote speaker who teaches Spanish and a STEAM/emerging technology course at Riverview Junior-Senior High School in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law and both a master’s and a doctorate in instructional technology, with research focused on artificial intelligence and professional development. Poth is an ISTE Certified Educator, former president of the ISTE Teacher Education Network, and a recipient of the ISTE Making It Happen Award and multiple U.S. Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. She is recognized as an edtech thought leader, having been named an EdTech Trendsetter by EdTech Digest and listed among influential K–12 IT and global women edtech leaders.

Poth is the author of multiple books on education and technology, including What the Tech? An Educator’s Guide to AI, AR/VR, the Metaverse and More!, which draws on her experience designing and teaching an 8th-grade STEAM technology course that explores AI, AR/VR, coding, gaming, digital citizenship, and related emerging tools. Her other works include titles such as How to Teach AI: Weaving Strategies and Activities into Any Content Area and Chart a New Course, and she writes regularly as a columnist
