Randall B. Lindsey

Randall B. Lindsey is an emeritus professor at California State University, Los Angeles and a leading scholar-practitioner in cultural proficiency and educational leadership. He has served as a teacher and school administrator, including work overseeing school desegregation efforts, and has held higher education roles such as Interim Dean at California Lutheran University, Distinguished Educator in Residence at Pepperdine University, and Chair of the Education Department at the University of Redlands. His academic preparation includes a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching (History Education) from the University of Illinois, and a B.S. in Social Science Education from Western Illinois University.

Lindsey’s work centers on equity, access, and the behavior of white people in multicultural settings, and he is widely recognized for developing and applying the Cultural Proficiency Framework in schools and districts.
