Randy Ribay

Randy Ribay is a Filipino American author of young adult fiction and a contributor to the Printz Award–winning anthology The Collectors: Stories, edited by A. S. King. He is best known for the National Book Award–finalist novel Patron Saints of Nothing, which was also a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Young Adult Novel. His other books include An Infinite Number of Parallel Universes, After the Shot Drops, and Chronicles of the Avatar: The Reckoning of Roku, with additional work in the Chronicles of the Avatar series.

Born in the Philippines and raised in the Midwest, Ribay earned a BA in English literature from the University of Colorado Boulder and a master’s degree in Language and Literacy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In addition to writing, he has worked as a high school English teacher and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his family.
