Rebecca Elliott
Rebecca Elliott is a British children’s author and illustrator best known for creating the New York Times–bestselling Owl Diaries early chapter book series, including Eva for President: A Branches Book (Owl Diaries #19). She has written and illustrated dozens of children’s books, among them picture books such as Just Because, Sometimes, Naked Trevor, Zoo Girl, and Kiss, Kiss Good Night, and is also the creator of the Unicorn Diaries series. Her book Zoo Girl was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal, and her Owl Diaries books have sold several million copies worldwide.
Elliott studied philosophy at university and worked in an office job before becoming a full-time children’s book illustrator around the early 2000s. She lives in Suffolk, England, where she continues to write and illustrate books for young readers, including her young adult novel Pretty Funny for a Girl (also published as Pretty Funny) and its follow‑up Pretty Rude.
