Rebekah Nathan

Rebekah Nathan is the pseudonym of cultural anthropologist Cathy Small, a professor of anthropology at Northern Arizona University. Small drew on her experience in ethnographic fieldwork and teaching to enroll as a freshman at her own university, an experience chronicled in My Freshman Year: What a Professor Learned by Becoming a Student.

Cathy Small is also the author of Voyages: From Tongan Villages to American Suburbs, a work based on her anthropological research.
