Rich Allen
Rich Allen is an educator, author, and professional development consultant known for his work on brain-based learning and high-impact teaching strategies. He holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Arizona State University and began his career as a high school mathematics and drama teacher, later serving as a director and lead facilitator for SuperCamp, an accelerated learning program for teens. Allen has worked internationally for more than 25 years coaching teachers and trainers and is founder and president of Green Light Education.
Allen is the coauthor of U-Turn Teaching: Strategies to Accelerate Learning and Transform Middle School Achievement, written with Jenn Currie and published by Corwin in 2012. His other education titles include Impact Teaching: Ideas and Strategies for Teachers to Maximize Student Learning, TrainSmart: Effective Trainings Every Time, Green Light Classrooms, High-Five Teaching, K–5, and The Rock ’n Roll Classroom, all of which focus on engaging instruction, staff development, and classroom environments that support student learning.
