Dr. Richard M. Cash, Ed.D. is an award‑winning educator, author, and international educational consultant who has worked in the field of education for more than thirty years. His background includes classroom teaching, curriculum coordination, and program administration, with particular expertise in gifted education, differentiated instruction, rigorous curriculum design, brain‑compatible learning, 21st‑century skills, and self‑regulated learning. He is president and principal consultant of nRich Educational Consulting, providing professional development and coaching to schools and districts.
Cash earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Gifted Education) from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also holds degrees in education from the University of Minnesota–Minneapolis and in theater from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. He has directed a children’s theater company and co‑authored several award‑winning children’s plays. In the field of gifted education he received the National Association for Gifted Children’s Early Leader Award (2011) and the Minnesota Educators for the Gifted and Talented “Friend of the Gifted” award (2016).
