Richard M. Felder

Richard M. Felder is Hoechst Celanese Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering at North Carolina State University. He earned a B.Ch.E. from the City College of New York and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Princeton University, and joined the NC State faculty in 1969 after postdoctoral work at the Atomic Energy Research Establishment in Harwell, England and research work at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Felder is widely known for his work in chemical engineering and engineering education. He coauthored the textbook _Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes_ and has authored or coauthored more than 200 papers on chemical process engineering and engineering education; he also coauthored _Teaching and Learning STEM: A Practical Guide_ with Rebecca Brent.
