Roberta I. Strosnider
Roberta A. Strosnider, EdD, is a professor emerita of special education at Towson University who currently works as an educational consultant focused on executive functioning, learning disabilities, and teacher preparation. She co‑authored The Executive Function Guidebook: Strategies to Help All Students Achieve Success with Valerie Saxton Sharpe, as well as Everyday Executive Function Strategies: Improve Student Engagement, Self-Regulation, Behavior, and Learning, and co‑founded Project Boost, a program that helps P–12 students build executive function skills through a structured metacognitive model.
Strosnider earned a BA in secondary education from Fairmont State University, an MA in special education from West Virginia University, and an EdD in special education administration and supervision from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Over her career she has taught in both general and special education P–12 classrooms, served in administrative roles, and held faculty and leadership positions at Hood College and Towson University, where she directed elementary and special education programs. Her contributions to the field of learning disabilities and advocacy for students with disabilities have been recognized with honors including an Alumna of Achievement Award from Fairmont State University, the **Floyd G.
