Ron Ritchhart
Ron Ritchhart is an educator, researcher, author, and speaker whose work focuses on developing cultures of thinking that promote deep learning and intellectual character in schools. He is a Senior Research Associate at Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he has worked since 1994 on issues such as teaching for understanding, thinking dispositions, creativity in teaching, and classroom and school culture. Ritchhart holds an Ed.D. in human development and psychology from Harvard University, an M.A. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a B.S. in education from Indiana University. A former classroom teacher for fourteen years in New Zealand, Colorado, and Indiana, he received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Secondary Mathematics Teaching in 1993 and a Spencer Dissertation Fellowship in 1999–2000.
