Rozlynn Dance

Rozlynn Dance is an elementary mathematics educator and author of Thinking Together: 9 Beliefs for Building a Mathematical Community, co-written with Tessa Kaplan and published by Heinemann in 2018. She has more than a decade of elementary classroom experience and has worked closely with colleagues to develop curriculum and provide mathematical professional development for K–5 teachers.

Dance teaches primary grades in Washington state and is recognized for creating nurturing, inclusive classrooms where all students feel safe to participate in mathematics. In Renton School District, she has served as a mentor to first-year teachers, a speaker at national teaching conferences, and an instructional coach, and she received a School Board Outstanding Elementary Teacher award for her work supporting students and colleagues.
