Samuel Nix

Dr. Samuel Nix is the Chief Academic Officer for Duncanville Independent School District in Texas, where he supports district-wide school improvement initiatives and student services for grades K–12. He previously served as Chief of Schools for Duncanville ISD’s secondary campuses and as a high school principal, and his leadership work has been recognized by the Texas House of Representatives, the NAACP, and the Future Schools Network.

Dr. Nix is the author of _Six Steps to a Strong School Culture: A Leadership Cycle for Educational Success_, which presents a practical framework for principals and school leaders. According to district information, he holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Texas at Arlington, a master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
